Paddling the Slough

Today was one of the most fun events that I’ve helped support as part of FBC.PDX with Columbia Slough Watershed Council. We took six canoes out along the Columbia Slough to paddle through a newly opened branch to Mermaid Cove.

What began as a typical foggy fall morning gathering at Whitaker Ponds would eventually transform into a warm and sunny experience as we navigated the cool waters of the slough.
